Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

This policy explains what information ScholarshipVine collects when you visit our site, why we collect it, and how it’s handled. By using scholarshipvine.com, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Log data. Like most websites, our server automatically records standard technical data when you visit — your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used for security and to understand site performance, not to identify you personally.

Comments. If comments are open on a post and you submit one, we store the name, email address, and content you provide, along with your IP address for spam prevention. Your comment and name may be shown publicly on the post. WordPress may display a profile image linked to your email through the Gravatar service, if you have one set up there.

Direct contact. If you email us at contact@scholarshipvine.com, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and to keep a record of the request.

Cookies

Our site sets small cookies needed for basic functions, such as remembering a comment you’ve submitted. We also use Google AdSense, which may set cookies — including on behalf of other third-party advertising vendors — to serve ads and measure how they perform. These cookies may use information about your visits to this and other websites to show you ads that are more relevant to you.

You can see or adjust your ad personalization settings at Google’s Ads Settings, and read more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the site, respond to messages, moderate comments, and protect against spam and abuse. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Third-party links

ScholarshipVine lists scholarships, bursaries, and funding programs with links to the official awarding institution’s website. Once you leave our site through one of these links, that institution’s own privacy policy applies — we have no control over how they handle your data, and we recommend reviewing their policy before submitting any personal information.

Analytics and advertising

ScholarshipVine displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. This can involve collecting information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit.

You can control this:

We do not currently run separate analytics tracking (such as Google Analytics) beyond what’s described above. If that changes, we’ll update this policy to name the service and explain your choices.

Data retention

We keep comment and contact data for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — typically as long as the related post stays published, or until you ask us to remove it.

Children’s privacy

ScholarshipVine is intended for students of secondary-school age and older who are researching funding opportunities. We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children, and we ask parents or guardians to contact us if they believe a child has submitted information to us directly.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you — for example, a comment you posted — by emailing contact@scholarshipvine.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We take reasonable technical steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version.
