Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This policy explains what information ScholarshipVine collects when you visit our site, why we collect it, and how it’s handled. By using scholarshipvine.com, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Log data. Like most websites, our server automatically records standard technical data when you visit — your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used for security and to understand site performance, not to identify you personally.
Comments. If comments are open on a post and you submit one, we store the name, email address, and content you provide, along with your IP address for spam prevention. Your comment and name may be shown publicly on the post. WordPress may display a profile image linked to your email through the Gravatar service, if you have one set up there.
Direct contact. If you email us at contact@scholarshipvine.com, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and to keep a record of the request.
Cookies
Our site may set small cookies needed for basic functions, such as remembering a comment you’ve submitted. We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated to name the service involved and explain your choices.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate the site, respond to messages, moderate comments, and protect against spam and abuse. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Third-party links
ScholarshipVine lists scholarships, bursaries, and funding programs with links to the official awarding institution’s website. Once you leave our site through one of these links, that institution’s own privacy policy applies — we have no control over how they handle your data, and we recommend reviewing their policy before submitting any personal information.
Analytics and advertising
ScholarshipVine does not currently use analytics tracking or display advertising. Should we introduce either in the future, we will update this policy to name the provider and describe what data is involved.
Data retention
We keep comment and contact data for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — typically as long as the related post stays published, or until you ask us to remove it.
Children’s privacy
ScholarshipVine is intended for students of secondary-school age and older who are researching funding opportunities. We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children, and we ask parents or guardians to contact us if they believe a child has submitted information to us directly.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you — for example, a comment you posted — by emailing contact@scholarshipvine.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We take reasonable technical steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version.
